Le Tour de France comes to England
On the 7th July 2007, we took a trip into central London to watch the Tour de France prologue stage. One of my favourate sports races, it was brilliant to see the pros cycling. With the average speed in excess of 50km/h, it was breathtaking.
We met up with our friends, Nicola, Richard, and Olaf and enjoyed a picnic in the park in amongst the activities.
A rider from the Saunier Duval team flies fast !!
A Liguigas team rider is followed on course by his team management with a couple of spare bikes in case he needs a new one.
A CSC rider flies past.... I was just able to catch him in my frames...
A succesful start to the 2007 le Tour and London did themselves proud.
